  • Hello,
    I'm proud to announce that work for mod-xslt 1.4.0 has started.
    A TLA archive for this new version has just been created, starting
    from the last version available in the 1.3 brench. The archive
    modxslt2--main--2.0 has thus been renamed in modxslt2--main--1.3,
    and a new archive modxslt2--main--1.4 has been created.
    The following archives are thus now available:

    modxslt2--main--1.3 -> development of version 1.3. From
    now on, no new features will be added to this
    brench, only bug corrections.
    modxslt2--stable--1.3 -> stable releases of version 1.3.
    modxslt2--main--1.4 -> development of version 1.4.
    modxslt2--stable--1.4 -> next stable release of version 1.4.

    To access the TLA archive, you can easily use the instructions
    provided on the home page, specifying the name of the archive
    indicated above.

    New features for mod-xslt 1.4:
    - Cleanup of libmodxslt API, that would lead to libmodxslt1.
    - Cacheing and correct ETag implementation.
    - A new scheme for automatically loading external extensions,
    and a few nice extensions (thinking about gettext and
    pcre)
    - Rationalization of mxslt extensions, to provide xPath
    functions to access mod-xslt parameters.
    - Better PHP integration.
    - Support for apache proxing features.
    - Improvements in the command line tool.
    - More SAPI support.

    - I'm also considering the possibility to switch from the
    GPL to the Apache Free Software License, or to a double
    licensing scheme.

    If anybody is willing to help, this is a good time to join
    the project :)

    Cheers,
    Carlo
